Sliding Shadow
Sliding Shadow explores the artifice of human existence and the fleeting instances where the performance of "self" fractures. I operate from the premise of the three faces: our internal self-perception, our public image, and the real self - an enigmatic third face often hidden even from the individual.
We maintain curated identities to shield ourselves from the weight of existence, yet in some moments, the shadow, the self unknown even to us, emerges.
When does that happen - in our dreams, at birth and death, or when memory and our practised narratives vanish? How many times have we caught a glimpse of me? And have I ever looked directly at their unmasked souls in passing?
